Description

Royale MIDI CC Party is a straightforward, fun app designed to create, store, and launch MIDI CC presets. This application has been developed with fast live performance in mind by someone who has been recording live shows all year long. Grab your hardware synth or groovebox, connect it to your iPad using MIDI, set your MIDI channel and CC channels, and start tweaking your kits. In less than 60 seconds, you can enjoy and play one of several creative preset templates available.

History

I’ve been playing music since my childhood and have developed a strong bond with modular gear (Eurorack), semi-modular synths, and grooveboxes. A few years ago, as a way to keep playing regularly and explore new sonic landscapes, I decided to start my YouTube channel: Royale Fougard and share my experiments. Then, having a game development and software development background, I thought it would be fun to play my instruments differently. I’m a great fan of the iPad, which is a super portable option. I don’t need sequencers or sounds—my hardware gear is there for that. I wanted to turn knobs and move sliders while playing my songs, enjoy the flow, and let my ears control my fingers. In short, to actually play music.
